I really liked this book. It felt less like reading a novel and more like reading a series of short stories on the same, general topic. Overall, I found the main character to be interesting and found myself drawn in to her quest to fulfill her dreams. This is an easy read and you can probably finish it in a day.

I've never really wanted to visit France. I'm probably one of a few who doesn't but after reading this book I can't wait to take a trip there. It has wetted my appetite to see all the sights Ms. Paddio describes so vividly. The narrative flows nicely and is done in such a way that I felt like I was with her, experiencing all the sights and sounds she experienced. I could feel the appreciation she has for the country. It was not a dry travel book, instead very funny and entertaining. I can;t wait for the next adventure!

If you've ever seen the Lord of the Rings movies and the bajillion endings, you may have found yourself wondering "When does it END?!" Yet at the end of this book, I found myself craving the bajillion endings. Mere seconds after finishing this book, I found myself wondering, "What happened? did they pursue things? Did she move? what about the children? How do things continue?" then I realized that this is the first of a series of books, and now find myself anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next book. This book may start out slow, but there is a purpose to the build. You become involved with the characters as people, friends. It leaves you feeling a bit unsatisfied not knowing where these friends have gone, what happened in their lives. I'm hoping the next book can remedy that, in a bit of a speedier manner than the first began. Were it a bit faster paced, it would have been a five start book. However, it is still a great book, well worth the four stars and a second or third read.
